Jennifer L. Miles, 51 of Erie, MI, formerly of Wakefield, Rhode Island, died Monday, November 25, 2013 in her home. Born, October 22, 1962 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Irving V. and Verna B. (Lee) Miles. She was a 1981 graduate of Mason Consolidated High School and received her Bachelor’s of Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. Jennifer served her country as a Registered Nurse in The U.S. Navy, serving in the first Gulf War as a Lieutenant, retiring after 24 years of service.
She is survived by her loyal companions, Sydney and Caleb, loving mother, Verna Miles. Sisters, Roberta (Jerry) Sherette, Michele Miles and Twin Sister, Jacqueline (Alan) Harris. Brothers, Michael (Bonnie) Miles, Patrick (Linda) Miles, Thomas (Joyce) Miles and Larry Miles. Former husband, John Dutka. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Irving Miles and brother, Dennis Miles.
Visitation will be from 1-4 pm Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm. Memorials to the National Greyhound Adoption Program. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
